Ahsan is a scientist at UT Health San Antonio and President/CEO of Altair Science who has created new avenues of research into biotechnology industry development. His scientific expertise ranges across basic, clinical, and translational research in both the academic and private sectors. As a Presidential Ambassador at UT Health San Antonio and NIH Research Fellow, he investigated the use of volatile organic compounds in breath as a predictor of chronic and metabolic diseases. A graduate of the Keck Graduate Institute’s Biotech Management program, Ahsan’s research involves the quantitative systems analysis of economic and non-economic factors, in biotechnology cluster development. He continues to leverage his leadership skills and diverse science experiences in biotech entrepreneurship and policy development.
