Catherine is a scientist at UT Health San Antonio whose research focuses on anti-aging therapeutics. As a founding member of the consulting group Commercialization Catalysts, she works with the University’s Office of Technology Commercialization in a wide range of activities including marketing and business development, technology evaluation, pitch deck development, and the creation of a virtual accelerator. Catherine has diverse experience in R&D, clinical, and regulatory operations, including FDA filings and reporting, at pharmaceutical and medical device start-up companies. Utilizing her experience in lean start-up principles, she conducted market validation research and business model development as an entrepreneurial lead for a neurosurgery device company in the National Science Foundation’s prestigious I-Corps program. In addition to health technology and entrepreneurship, Catherine is an advocate for improved educational models and professional development in STEM fields.
